ON 6 March 2020, two days before International Women’s Day, we participated in a Women’s Global Strike in partnership with CIVICUS, HURISA, and other civil society organisations, in support of greater protection of women’s rights in South Africa.. The march proceeded through Braamfontein and ended at the old Women’s Jail at the Constitutional Court in Braamfontein, The CEO of the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE), Keketso Maema, received a memorandum at Constitutional Hill.
