In September 2019, we participated in the #SandtonShutdown women’s march in support of a demand that the JSE should finance campaigns to combat GBV . The march was organised by Call To Action, a coalition of more than 80 women-led organisations. Social Justice was a partner organisation. The march proveeded to the JSE building in Sandton, where we handed the memorandum to then JSE CEO Nicky Newton-King.
